Mark your calendars for Saturday\, 02AUG from 0 800-1200.\n\nFor those that are new to Hawaii or haven't ventured to the other side of the island yet\, the Kaneohe Sand Bar is an area of barel y submerged sand bar that stretches from Marine Corps Base Hawaii (MCBH) across Kaneohe Bay. The sandbar itself is over a mile long and ranges i n depth from a few feet to just a few inches depending on the area and t ides. There are almost always sea turtles in the area and it is one of t he most beautiful areas on the\nisland - a must-do while stationed here. \n\nMCBH MWR operates a marina and rents covered pontoon boats with a ma x capacity of 10 people each\, including the Boat Captain. We've secured 6 boats (see witty nautical themed names below) for the morning session of Saturday\, 02AUG.
