Summary of Our Current Issue:

The Spring issue of The Oakleaf is available online now! On our cover, we get to know new Foundation Vice Chairman, CAPT (ret) Ted Digges, catch a glimpse of RDML Matt Ott and CAPT Tommy Neville as they tease our Chapter Supply Corps 229th Birthday Ball coverage beginning on page 18, and we thank you–our members–for your generous donations in 2023!

On page 8, former Volunteer Committee Chair CDR Adam Gunter sits down with our editor for a Q&A, where he shares why he chose the Supply Corps, how he became involved with the Foundation, and what’s on his bucket list (hint: he loves football). On page 12, we follow The MAGGYnificent Journey of LT Julibert Rudd to Supply, as told by LCDR Anisa Dominquez, and later we meet our newest NSCS Navy Supply Corps Foundation Leadership Award winners CWO2 Juan Sanchez and LT Nicholas Robinson. Then on page 27, our dear friend RADM (ret) Dan McKinnon comes out of retirement to share a story of The “Philadelphia 15” and Their “Friends”.

As always, the best stories are the ones you share, and this issue of The Oakeaf is filled with articles written by members of the Northwest Chapter, Japan Chapter, Washington, D.C. Chapter, Detroit Chapter, Great Salt Lake Chapter, Hampton Roads Chapter, and Philadelphia Chapter, and includes photos from the Mechanicsburg Chapter, Jacksonville Chapter, and St. Louis Chapter! Of course, all Chapters and members are invited to contribute to The Oakleaf newsletter. The next deadline is May 1st. The submission process is easy–just fill out the online form and email with any questions.

Finally, the last three pages of this issue exemplify the commitment our members make to our Community. We thank each of you for your generous donations in 2023. Each dollar you give breathes life into our programs and makes our Foundation stronger everyday!
