CURRENT EDITION

Enjoy reading through our quarterly newsletter.  The current issue of The Oakleaf is featured below.  Our diverse Community is showcased in the variety of articles written by and about you!  Scroll down for the archive of our previous editions.

Summary of Our Current Issue:

Shining on our cover is Scholarship Recipient Audrey Bediako, sponsored by her mother LCDR Rowena Bediako as we proudly announce our 2023-24 Scholarship recipients and thank our many scholarship donors!

Of course, the biggest event recently was the Commander, Naval Supply Systems Command, Chief of Supply Corps Change of Command. On page 4, we get to know the 50th Chief of Supply Corps, Rear Admiral Kenneth Epps, as we say farewell with great gratitude to Rear Admiral Peter Stamatopoulos.

On page 8, we witness the character of our Community as we learn of the great generosity of RADM Don St. Angelo and his wife Elizabeth, not only during their lifetime, but also after their passing through The Tench Francis Society.  In the following pages, LCDR Tyree “Goldilocks” Harris shares The Inspiring Journey of LCDR Ismail Tajudeen, LT Alyssa Viscomi gives us a glimpse of her life as a Congressional Liaison Officer in Supply in the House, and we celebrate our Chapter-of-the-Year and Volunteer-of-the-Year winners on page 17.

Certainly, an issue would be incomplete without your supply stories!  Enjoy the tales shared by CDR (ret) David Cicio, LCDR (ret) David LeBeau, and CAPT (ret) Pat Beamer beginning on page 26.  And, please continue to share your sea stories at mysupplycorpsstory@usnscf.com.

Each issue of The Oakleaf brings our Community together, as we share memories of our past and create opportunities for new experiences.  What would you like to contribute to The Oakleaf? Active, retired, reserve, former and family members are encouraged to submit articles, pictures, news and updates to theoakleaf@usnscf.com.  Visit our website for submission guidelines.

Thank you for your gifts of time and money.  Your generosity supports this newsletter and our Foundation programs across the globe. Contributing is easy!  Donate online and encourage all who have ever worn the Oakleaf of the U.S. Navy Supply Corps to register as a Member, or update membership contact information online now.  Enjoy the Summer issue of The Oakleaf!
