NEWS: FLC Norfolk Supply Junior Officer Symposium

Fellow Supply Officers,

NAVSUP FLC Norfolk is excited to invite you to the Supply Corps Junior Officer Symposium in Norfolk on 27 Feb 25.  This is a full day event with morning focused on technical training and the afternoon focused on professional development and networking.

We have designed the morning session is to help maximize your understanding of the various shore-side resources available to improve your operations.  Topics include a strategic overview by SURFLANT, NAVSUP FLC Norfolk Services, DLRs, and DLA Distribution.  Lunch will be provided at no cost.  The afternoon session is an interactive series of small-group discussions, allowing time for networking, mentorship, and detailed look into various areas of interest.  Here’s how it will work:

Afternoon Breakout Sessions:

  • Time Slots: The afternoon will consist of three sessions, each lasting approximately 50 minutes.
  • Topics: You can choose from seven topics:
    • SURFLANT
    • AIRLANT
    • SUBLANT
    • NECC
    • CWO/LDOs
    • Female Supply Officers
    • Promotion Boards

Each topic will be offered three times during the afternoon, ensuring everyone gets to attend their chosen topics. These group sessions are specifically designed to encourage maximum participation by members with senior leadership as well as meeting Supply Corps peers in a small group setting.

  • Expected Attendance:  Approximately 100-150 officers.
