The Supply Corps Foundation’s Heritage Display aboard USS MIDWAY (CV-41) portrays the busy environment aboard an aircraft carrier.  An aircraft carrier is a floating city.  The many roles of the Supply Department comprise the typical services you would expect to find in any town, including dining, banking, drycleaning, shopping, post office, barber shop, and even entertainment.  In addition to providing such services to the crew, the Supply Department must fulfill hotel services and warehousing services.  An aircraft carrier’s Supply Department is one of the most demanding at-sea operations in the Navy.
