It is important to support our community and culture by acknowledging the noteworthy efforts and achievements of our members who consistently “go the extra mile”. Recognition can be as simple and low-key as a letter of appreciation to acknowledge heartfelt action taken to make a difference in the community. In other instances, recognition may include a public address, featured article, or plaque to commemorate an event or occasion.
The Navy Supply Corps Foundation emphasizes public recognition for those who step out of the crowd to improve the world around them. Doing so helps fulfill the individual who made a difference, as well as spotlight the example we all should follow as community citizens.
The Foundation’s recognition program goes beyond members on active duty. We offer special recognition to retired and former officers who have distinguished themselves in the civilian sector. Many Supply Corps officers excel beyond the uniform, achieving great success in discovery, mentorship, business, authorship, political careers, and more. Our Distinguished Alumni Program is part of our larger Recognition Program, and it features a select handful of achievers whose significant success in the public or private sector are attributable to their roots in the US Navy Supply Corps.
